Bruce LaBruce is curating a selection of X-rated short films at Drake’s Cruising Amsterdam on the weekend of May 1–3. The pop-up exhibition is supported by the Erwin Olaf Foundation in connection to BUTT and No Limits! Art Castle's current show ‘Cruising Amsterdam: Public Sex in the City’.

Once upon a time last weekend, ten thousand fine asses descended on the charming ruins of an East German strip mine for Whole Festival. From clitorial pleasure workshops to campsite gangbangs, a whiff of queer seuxal utopia was in the air. Plenty of LGBTQIA+ fam discourse and intercontinental hookups were had – plus, of course, transcendental sets from some of dance music's best. Georgian photographer George Nebieridze lost his ‘whole virginity’ this year while capturing these bottoms. ‘Most of the butts I asked were very cooperative and happy to be in the series,’ he confirms. ‘I love the diversity of these butts, they're of different ages, origins, colors and sizes.’ We do too!

The spit flows freely in George Nebieridze’s new series ‘Drooling Political’. Back in 2015, George gave us a first whiff of his photography with ‘Armpits of Berlin’. Now, the Berlin photographer marvels at another element of good sex – saliva. While often a last-ditch lubricant, it’s also a hot sign of F-you domination. George hails from Georgia, where the government is assaulting the rights and life of the queer community. The series is his own crew’s middle finger to the ruling party.

Q: What’s this all about?
A: “This project is my modest gesture and a reaction to our struggles as Georgian queer immigrants in Berlin. Even though it’s 2025, queerness, being a queer person, is still becoming more and more difficult in Georgia. The deeply closeted and violently homophobic politicians chose the most vulnerable as their target and use the argument of protecting families from “gay propaganda”. I don’t think any propaganda can make anyone gay if they’re confident enough in themselves. Things are getting scarier, but I can’t give up on myself and my community. I keep working and fighting for freedom with everything I can. So let’s spit on them.”

‘Was this the scent launched by a thousand men, and burnt the topless towers of Berlin? Here I dwell, for heaven is in these pits, and all is dross that does not perspire.’ So says Nicolas, who is first up in the armpit portrait series by Berliner George Nebieridze. Surely that city is a melting pot of sweet pit odors and intoxicating pheromones. Photographer George also finds the shape of the body spectacular when the armpits are displayed.
