Cruising Amsterdam

01/09

The opening of CRUISING AMSTERDAM at No Limits! Art Castle last Friday was so popular it got shut down by the police...boooooooo! Good thing there's plenty of time to go back before May 31, with a packed public programme of cruise-happy events. For centuries, Amsterdam’s Red Light District has been a hotbed of public fun as waves of sailors, immigrants, sex workers and heaps of queers criss-crossed the neighborhood looking for love or release. In the exhibition, 10 artists shared new and existing work about our shared sexual history and futures in the Dutch capital, including Emil Cañita,  Kees de Klein & Cain Wittenhuis,  Barnaby Savage,  Anton Shebetko, Frank Schallmaier, Lernert Engelberts & Sander Plug, and Tusharr Madhavv. Plus, a super handy cruising map and more from Erik Wong.
