Representing the full spectrum, from left to right: Jean, Theodore, Pavlos, Vagelis, Kyriacos and Stefanos. Our dear brothers in the Northern Greek city of Thessaloniki were not even phased by eggings that took place over the weekend at their local gay pride festivities. The twenty or so Christians and right-wingers 'were quite amusing' says Pavlos.

When I meet Mike Hadreas, AKA Perfume Genius, he is wearing a single white pearl earring in his right ear and his red painted nails clutch a can of Diet Coke. This year, he got every known homosexual's attention with that 'Hood' video featuring pornstar Arpad Miklos, and his second album, ‘Put Your Back N 2 It’, has been on permanent loop at more friend's places than I can count. The unassuming Seattle-based musician is, for the most part, the complex individual his lyrics lend him to be. But during our interview, it’s his laugh — restrained, yet convivial — that I’m most taken by.

Sebastian's cock is so meaty, so thick that he can not only fuck you like a champ, but hold your toilet roll for you when it's time to clean up. Felipe, 24-year-old artist from Santiago, Chile says his BF Sebastian cannot resist bragging about his 'biggish-meat'.

Last Sunday, I dropped in on American architect Fritz Haeg who's spending the week in a dome-shaped tent on the roof of the brutalist Hayward Gallery. He's been invited to set up 'a rogue school within a school' as part of the gallery's Wide Open School program. The so-called Sundown Schoolhouse of Queer Home Economics is a kind of mobile classroom, and a continuation of the popular salons he hosted in his geodesic dome in L.A., California between 2001 and 2006. These days, most of his interventions happen abroad. He just planted his twelfth Edible Estate in Budapest, for instance, where he hopes to endow the modest vegetable garden with the cultural significance it deserves. Here in London, he's zooming in on a new vision of domesticity.

Fabrizo from Bari, Italy was shot by Alessandro di Giampietro for a a little project he's been working on called 'Boy-friends'. When he's not posing for photos, Fabrizo works 'in the nightlife' of Milan. You know, discos, parties, that sort of thing. Avid BUTT readers will remember bi-curious Alessandro's series of handsome 'Italiani' from BUTT number 22.

It was my good buddy Shannon who alerted me to the existence of 'Casual Encounters'. Not the personals section on Craigslist, but rather the well-crafted zine by 39-year-old photographer Michael Max McLeod who currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona. 'Casual Encounters' grew out of a series of 'photographic hook-ups' with guys who, like Mike, found themselves bypassing the mainstream gay scene in their search for male companionship. He met them online mostly, like on Craigslist, and photographed them against a backdrop of dusty Southwestern interiors. Quite unlike most cut-and-paste, xeroxed zines, 'Casual Encounters' is minimal, precise — downright anal.

Mike, 39, is sort of a late bloomer when it comes to photography. The self-taught web designer — whose previous job was at Playboy — only completed his bachelor's degree in photography last year... And why not? Through his DIY publishing arm, Goodbye Ranch, he's been putting out the stripped-down eight-page 'Casual Encounters' zine for almost a year now from his Phoenix, Arizona headquarters.

I wonder if Dennis Cooper had any idea in 1986, when he began writing his first novel 'Closer' in Amsterdam, that his words — and the diaries, snapshots, love letters, scrapbooks that went into fleshing it out — might resurface in the Dutch city as an exhibition twenty-six years later. Since March, Kunstverein, with the Fales Library and Special Collections of New York University, has been exhibiting a selection of primary source documents related to the cycle of books inspired by his first love, George Miles.

27-year-old Liverpudlian singer Alexander Geist has already been compared to Marc Almond in a short but startling career that has made him a cult hit in much of Europe’s underground. He launches his first 7-inch single, 'Bad Language', on the Haute Areal label tonight in his new home Berlin. We got our dirty fingers on the track which is streaming in the BUTT player. A quick scroll down past our little chat reveals another treat: fellow Berliner TUSK's remix of said track for your exclusive downloading pleasure.

A few weeks ago, Michael and Colin set off with a flask of coffee and a whole lot of chocolate (Snickers, Daim and Ritter Sport bars) on an early morning National Express coach from Manchester to Glasgow. It was a five-hour journey and Colin gets particularly anxious on coaches. They had been planning their visit to the Wolfgang Tillmans exhibition at The Common Guild for weeks.

When 40-year-old Günther Spiegel is not working as art director at Vogue, he's probably training. Mostly, he's swimming laps at the London Fields Lido every weekday from 8 to 9 AM, except Thursday which is his running day. Or he's kickboxing, or sparring at the London Gay Boxing Club. Typical Taurean, Günther is generally quite easy-going until you throw him in the ring and the welterweight unleashes his inner bull. I caught up with Günther, fresh off his first boxing tournament, and discovered how to use my gluteus maximus to throw a punch and how putting my face in a guy’s armpit might just save my life.

I met Simon Fujiwara last November in San Francisco at 'The Air We Breathe', an exhibition at the SFMoMA that brought together poets and visual artists to ruminate on the topic of same-sex rights. Not only is Simon supercute and supersmart, he's also a devoted BF, has a degree in architecture from Cambridge, and is a classically-trained musician (regular readers will recall his art rock band, Asia Today, from the BUTT Bias mixtape). I picked Simon up in the bar of the St. Regis hotel and offered him a lift to the airport in my '87 Dodge Aries K-Car.

Tomorrow, BUTT fans in New York City will want to check out the first solo exhibition in that city by David Benjamin Sherry. You may recall, David shot Salem for BUTT 25, and psychic vagabond Jonah for the cover of BUTT's 2012 calendar. The above image features a kind of peek-a-boo penis setup, not unlike the photo of Jonah's flaccid cock featured in the month of January.
