A few months ago, during a trip to Montreal, I went to the Museum of Fine Arts where I came across a series of epic paintings of North American landscapes full of strapping half-naked Indians and Western-looking hunters, like homoerotic fantasies of post-colonial role reversals. The artist, Kent Monkman, had also installed a multi-screen video installation featuring a performance by his alter ego, Miss Chief Eagle Testickle — a creature resembling something of a peyote-enhanced Vegas vision of Pocahontas. I watched the video five or six times and had to meet Kent Monkman. When I tracked him down in Toronto (he’s the son of a Cree father and an Irish-English mother and originally from Winnipeg) I found him to be tall, handsome, charming and quite funny. After a few glasses of wine I convinced him to transform himself into Miss Chief Eagle Testickle again. He reluctantly agreed (he usually only does it for performances).

Abney Park Cemetery in London is famous for being the first arboretum in Europe to be combined with a cemetery. It's a very gorgeous and dodgy place with fallen tombs outcropping everywhere, squirrels and foxes around, and a beautiful landscape during every season. It's known for all the cruising going on around the tombstones.I fancy cruising outdoors and I go there sometimes since moving to London from Jerusalem two years ago. This time I got naked and took some photos. Some men actually approached me but I was so into my own trip that I didn't even notice them watching me through the trees. My inspiration was something like ‘a living body among the deads’. I set the camera up on a gravestone, turned it on 'automatic'…and these are the results.

I was in 5th grade watching a hockey-game in my fathers apartment when the thought that I was actually gay raced through my head. When I was growing up, being gay was not that accepted in Stockholm and my dad was a prime example of the pervasive homophobic surroundings. He's actually said he couldn't handle me being gay and would be forced to neglect me. To this day he has no knowledge that I'm bisexual. Living in that environment I told myself I was sick and spent most of my childhood fighting my fantasies. Ultimately, though my relationship with my dad shaped much of who I am as an artist.

Picture yourself walking through some beautiful landscape like Monument Valley in Utah. You're enjoying the vistas, thinking about the intensity of the color on display, when suddenly you see a figure coming at you — a nude, skinny man with a shaved head, his body painted, camouflaged in purple or aqua. Then you see his tripod and camera set up and realize it's just 28-year-old photographer from New York City, David Benjamin Sherry. David's best known for his unique combination of landscape and portrait photography. He recently published his first book, It's Time, which collects works from 2006 to 2009. When he's not traveling the country with a trunkful of body paint David works out of his studio in Brooklyn, which is where we met to chat about his work.

Random passersby were routinely bummed to find out that titles like  ‘Aborigine Cock Knockers,’ ‘Proposition Ate’ and ‘Daddy Day Care’ didn't actually exist!

When we got our huge donation of vintage gay porn a few weeks ago, the first thing we did was start to go through the pages of Drummer Magazine, the ultra-classic gay S&M publication that taught a generation of gay men how to make their slaves happy. A little over a year ago, photographer Pedro Isztin sent us an arousing image of a handsome uncut ginger boy from his 'Canadian Rocks' series. Now he's returned with more sexy men posing on rocks. This subject, Mike, looks like he could be the ginger from the first picture 30 years later. Mike, who appears in this photograph was just named Mr. Leather Ottawa 2010 and Mr. Central Canada Olympus Leather 2009.

Now we discover that another of our favorite photographers, artist Robert Greene has compiled an entire book on follicular amazingness, aptly titled Hairy.
