Hola!
My name is Ricardo Velmor and I’m a 25 y/o visual artist who fucking loves Mexico City. I’m also editor of Anal Magazine, a local gay zine. This city, also known as DF (Distrito Federal), is a very complex metropolis. The variety of cultural and economic backgrounds of its inhabitants and the fast growth of the city created an environment where decadence and opulence live face to face. This guide focuses on the not so touristic side of this amazing, sometimes hard to digest, but never boring Mexico’s capital.

I’ll be in Mexico City in a little more than a week. I’m only visiting from Sunday through Thursday morning, and it looks like a lot of bars are closed or low key on those nights. Can you recommend anything for a scruffy, tattooed American guy?

Jajaja pues es verdad, lo prefiero a cualquier extremidad. Y sí, vale la pena ir, aunque sea por conocer. Pero seguro la pasas bien.
Es que ya necesita actualizarse, pero yo creo que si integraré esas fiestas en el nuevo. El Sodome se pone bien en fines de semana, sobre todo viernes y sábado por la noche (después de la 1 a.m.) o a veces los domingos después del medio día.

I was at finisterre more than 30 years ago, I can’t believe it’s still open. I had very good memories on there. I wish I could visit next time I visit Mexico
Finisterre is one of my favorite bathhouses here.
Unfortunately “El Internet” is now closed due to gentrification in the Alameda.

it’s NOT out in that distant location, but just a few blocks from the Zona Rosa it’s on MANUEL Maria Contreras, in Col. San Rafael, which runs calle sullivan

Hi Ricardo!..nice list, I recently returned from Mexico City…love it, can’t wait to go back…I would just add PK…it was the only afterhours place I found in Zona and El Wawis in Centro Historico… as far as where to go when the night is about to end.

Saludos desde Puebla, buenos tips, algunos no los conocia. El Nichos, lmfao, osos con cara de mataputos bailando al ritmo de Fey. Del Tom’s me gustan los strippers, hueva ir al baño, casi te violan en el trayecto. El Oasis y el Marrakech me gustan (mega kitsch el ultimo). El Internet suena interesante por lo chacalero.

I think you are talking about Cine Ciudadela in Balderas Street. There is a bigger one in downtown near La Merced area, it is a kind of dangerous zone but its like the biggest porn theater i’ve seen in my life, and also there are times when they stop the movie and it turns into a huge dark room. Kind of scary.
That’s the one! Right in front of a tiangis of foreign/art/cult pirate DVDs…yes! I’ll have to check the Merced one next time. But yeah, they’re always a bit scary, exciting, stinky, sticky, with creaking seats and obscure men. Me fascina…

Terrible! I lived in México city for years and there are much more nice gay spots than only saunas.. what about Under, Pasaje América, galleries, neighborhoods, etc?
Thanks Paco, there was a huge Corredor Roma Condesa entry but it was cut off during edition. Also, I do not consider Under as a gay spot and Pasaje America is like in its last days. I tried to write about the spots which have lasted and not those that last less than a month, I also tried talk about a less touristic side of Mexico City.
